Cem Cetinturk

Cristina Polo

Her career started as a Sales Executive for Le Meridien Hotels in Paris moving to a cluster sales role for Hilton Paris hotels and then joining the opening team for the Rezidor Hotel Group to lead the sales and meetings & events departments for an airport hotel.

Her re-location to Dubai coincided with a move to revenue management at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City where she was later promoted to Regional Director of Revenue Optimization with responsibility for thirty properties in the Middle East. In her previous hotel role Cristina led the sales, revenue, distribution and digital marketing teams for HMH Hospitality Management Holdings.

Joining Insights Middle East to lead the team in May 2016, Cristina decided to pursue her career with a unique consultancy company where her experience can benefit clients from the region.

She holds a Post Graduate Degree (DESS) in International Trade and a Master's Degree in International Economics and is a steering committee member of HSMAI (Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International).

Euan Mitchell

Euan Mitchell, Former Vice President Global eCommerce for Atlantis, The Palm, is a 25 year travel industry veteran with the last 18 years in online hospitality where he worked at Choice Hotels International, Thistle Hotels Limited, Marriott International and (Atlantis The Palm) Kerzner International.

An early adopter of digital technology, for a 4 year period at Thistle hotels he doubled internet gross revenue every year. He was credited with developing and launching the first ever Mobile hotel bookings for a hotel chain using WAP technology back in 2000.

He joined Marriott International in 2004, where he delivered strategies and objectives that drove online gross revenue by 81% in 2006 and 2007 for marriott.co.uk. He added eCommerce responsibility for Marriott Hotels in the Middle East & Africa, in addition to the UK and Irish portfolio driving the corporate digital strategies for the region and individual properties.

From 2010, Mitchell joined Atlantis, The Palm, first as a Director of Online Marketing before moving up to Vice President Global eCommerce, where he was responsible for developing and leading the digital marketing of all the Atlantis resorts and their attractions as well as the online strategies to ensure brand awareness and profit growth.

He is now working in a consultative capacity for a number of start-up hospitality related businesses, and open to new opportunities.

Jaya Raj

Jaya Raj is Head of Revenue & Distribution at HMH - Hospitality Management Holdings since March 2014. Prior to joining HMH, Jaya was the Director of Revenue at Radisson Blu Hotels in Dubai. During the course of her 12 year career in the industry she has worked with Al Bustan Rotana - Dubai, The Oberoi and Hilton Towers - Mumbai. She has a post Graduate Diploma in marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK and Bachelors in Hotel Management & Catering Technology from India.
Laurent Barelier

Senior Hospitality Executive with an MBA, 17 years Mideastand Global experience. Expert in Operations Support, Revenue Management/Distribution practices (client side) including strategic analysis, reporting, property audits, training, achieving objectives by executing action plans, team-player, flexible, well-travelled, detail-oriented, hard-working and an adaptable individual. Excellent team leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Specialties: pre-opening support, forecasting, competition analysis, evaluating subordinates performance, budgeting, monitoring pricing trends & acting accordingly; tracking & reporting relevant trends; active networking in the UAE and the Middle East region.
Mariano Faz

Mariano is responsible for the asset management of the company’s Hospitality and Real Estate portfolio which comprises over 3,000 units in the UAE and an additional3,000 hotel units under development. During his tenure, Mariano has guided the strategic planning efforts toachieve investment objectives on behalf of owners. He provides leadership to the asset management team and ensures that the hotels are managed to the best of their capacity.

Mariano is an active HAMA (Hotel Asset Management Association) member and also is part of the HSMAI (Hotels Sales & Marketing Association International) Advisory Board. Mariano brings over sixteen years of expertise within the hospitality sector, where he has held a number of management, finance and operational roles. He has successfully negotiated multiple hotel management contracts, coordinated pre-openings and possesses in-depth knowledge of hotel industry trends.

Before joining TFG Asset Management, Mariano served as the SVP of JLL Hotels in Dubai where he focused on investment and advisory in Dubai and Barcelona. Prior to that, he worked for Ilunion hotels as a Chief Operating Officer for three years and Barcelo hotels in Europe where he successfully managed to expand the brand through management contracts and lease contracts.

Mariano is a Spanish national and holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University International of Catalonia, Spain and a Master in Finance from EADA, Barcelona. Mariano is a regular speaker at prominent Hospitality Conferences in the Middle East. He also collaborates in multiple hotel sector publications related to Hotel Asset Management topics.
Muhammad Zaim

Nicolas Durand

Nicolas is 37 years old and has close to 15 years of experience in the Hospitality/Travel industry. Durand has a solid background in Distribution, E-Commerce & Revenue Management.

He started working for Accor Hotels as Global Accounts Manager Distribution in their Headquarters in Paris. He was then promoted to Director E-Distribution in charge of the North American market for distribution as well as driving traffic to the Accor hotel website.

He then spent 3 years working with a Car Rental European leader Europcar as Head of Sales for the French market.

For the past 6 years Durand has successfully helped Mövenpick Hotels& Resorts change its Distribution & E-Commerce strategy in the Middle East and is now heading the Revenue Management Analytics based out of Mövenpick‘s headquarters in Dubai.

On a more personal note Durand enjoys his free time with all what Dubai’s good weather has to offer (Mountains, Biking, Road Cycling, Desert Driving, Hiking & Diving) and loves travelling to destinations where similar activities are available.
Saahil Mehta

Saahil Mehta is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of ResNet World, a company focused on maximizing revenue and profitability for hotels through increased online presence and e-distribution.

Mr. Mehta’s path into the hospitality industry is unique when compared to others. He holds a Masters degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from UCL in London and has enjoyed the unique opportunity to not only travel the world, but to also live in five different countries across three continents. His education has given him the tools he needs to analyze hospitality technology issues at their core, and his travels abroad have taught him the needs of the guests we all strive to accommodate on a daily basis.

Saahil’s passion for technology and his love for travel are seen throughout ResNet World’s strategy and mission statements. ResNet World now partners with over 350 hotels with offices located in Dubai, Berlin and Mumbai.

Sayed Tayoun

Sayed Tayoun is the Area Director of Sales and Marketing at the InterContinental Hotels Group Dubai Festival City. Tayoun brings with him more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality and commercial leadership in the region as well as international markets. A Lebanese national, Tayoun started his career in Beirut and held several leadership roles with IHG in the region.

Prior to joining Festival City, Tayoun was leading the sales and marketing functions for the IHG portfolio in Abu Dhabi. Tayoun have built an expertise in restructuring and inspiring winning teams, opening and repositioning F&B concepts, and destinations development.

Tayoun received various recognitions and awards with the most recent “Commercial Leader of the year" for IHG in India Middle East and Africa.
